Magnetic Series – Born Pretty

Today I have two magnetics from Born Pretty to share with you. One from their Pearlescent Series and one from their Star Cat Eyes series. These work well on their own using 3 coats of magnetized polish or 2 coats over a black creme base. They also are good to work with since they dry pretty fast in order to keep the magnetized stripe intact.

Off to the Swatches!

First up I have Blaze Songs from the Star Cat Eyes series, it’s a pretty brown base that magnetizes to a strong copper strip. In my swatches I used a coat of black creme as a base then 2 coats of the magnetized Blaze Songs.
This color is a favorite of mine.

Next I have Melody Minor from the Pearlescent Magnetic Series. This is a very pretty pearl lavender that deepens as it gets magnetized. For my swatches I used a coat of black creme as my base and 2 coats of magnetized Melody Minor. The shift is subtle, but you can see the stripe from multiple angles.

I was also sent 2 magnet tools to work with, the first and most effective is the Cat Eye Magnetic stick which is dual ended, the square head makes liner stripes and the rounded end makes curved stripes. I used this for both of the swatches above.
The second tool is the Dual End Magnetic pen, this is one I will have to keep working on. One end is supposed to produce a flower design and the other makes multiple line designs. I couldn’t produce a design with either on these polishes, but I will try it again.
