California Lovin Indies is a box conceptualized by Stacy, owner and creator, of Static Polish celebrating all things California with California Polish Makers. This is a quarterly collaboration and some pretty iconic places are used as inspiration.
For the second California Lovin’ Indies collaboration Static Lacquer teamed up with Lynae of Fanchromatic Nails. In thinking of October in California there is one landmark that always comes to mind for most Californian’s, the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, CA. There is even a movie out about this mystery house!
The house was architected by Sarah Winchester widow of the Firearm magnate William Winchester, and it was built with many eccentricities particularly due to her belief in ghosts, there are stairs that lead straight up into the ceiling, doors that let out on the second floor to open air and of course secret corridors.
Let’s get to the swatches:
Static Lacquer brings you Doors to Nowhere a reddish brown jelly polish with holo flakes and a ton of different ucc flakes to capture the stained glass windows.
Doors…reaches opacity in 2 coats and has a smooth glossy finish even without a topcoat. I do recommend a glossy top coat to make sure the jelly base plays off the light.
Fanchromatic Nails brings you Secret Corridors a minty teal polish that flashes red or gold or blue in different lights. It’s filled with iridescent flakies, and metallic flakies that shift purple or green with the green shift being the strongest of the the two, to mimic the effect of an antique stained glass window.
Secret…reaches full opacity in 2 coats and dries to a smooth glossy finish.
The Winchester California Lovin’ Indies duo will be available for pre-sale on October 1st at 8am pst and end on October 5th at 11:59 pm pst. The duo will be $20 + $4 shipping. Each duo contains a California Lovin’ Indies vinyl sticker (as seen above) I put mine on my helmer.
