Indie’s to the Rescue

Here I talk about pretty nail polishes every weekday and today I will be showing you some beautiful polishes, but also showing a side to me I don’t normally share.

Recently, Monica Moran from Monis Mani passed away suddenly and the ladies of Indie’s to the Rescue banded together to bring our Nail Community together from makers to nail polish collectors, and created a silent auction of polishes and nail products donated or  specially created for this auction. Many makers donated and even participated in the auction.

Now, I didn’t know Moni personally and I can’t share any personal stories with you. But I want to take the time here to show appreciation to our Nail Community for coming together to help her family and also to show how our community helps one another.

I for one love how close I have become with people of all walks of life and across continents all these years, I was never very close to many people and today I can say that I am. Like within any community there will be drama, but today we celebrate the love and selflessness that you all share! When tough times come this community embraces you and takes you under their wing. I just want to say THANK YOU for being a great family!

I was lucky to have the winning bid on these two stunning polishes.

First, I have the specially made powder blue holo donated by Colors by Llarowe, An Angel Has Her Wings.

Next, I have Doppleganger donated by JReine a blurple base with color shifting flakes and a strong pink shimmer flash.

I went back and forth with the decision to post this blog, because I never want anyone to think I would take advantage of someone’s memory, but I did want to acknowledge how great this community is even in those moments when they aren’t at their best.

Much Love!
