Nerdy Nails is a newcomer in the Indie Polish world and she is coming straight out of comic books! Quidasha Wright, maker and owner of Nerdy Nails Cosmetics is representing all the Nerdy girls who know the difference between Marvel and DC characters, Anime with and without subtitles. Nerdy Nails Cosmetics is a hand-made, cruelty free and 5- free brand from Charlotte, NC, which launched a pre order debut sale April 2nd – 15th. There were 30 colors in 5 themed collections.

I picked up Oracle, who is inspired by Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl, you may remember Barbara as the daughter of commissioner Gordon in the Batman comics, she later becomes Oracle after joining the Suicide squad in Task Force X. Can you tell I like comics?

To the swatches!!!!

Oracle is a beautiful orchid jelly polish with gold shimmer glitters through out.

DSC06748The formula is smooth and even, this is a jelly so it needs to build up. In the pictures shown I applied 3 coats of Oracle to deepen the color for my liking, 2 coats can definitely work I had some Visible Nail Line and went in for the 3rd coat.

This polish dried to a semi matte finish and slightly textured. I applied a coat of QDTC and it smoothed everything out and made this orchid color appear like a juicy berry.

I liked the brush on this packaging, it’s wide enough to cover most of the nail in one swipe.

Over all, I am very impressed with this debut collection and wished I grabbed more. The formula was great and the color stunning, I have it on all my digits right now! I absolutely love the packaging Nerdy Nails comes in, it stands out and will have you remembering the bottle by it’s noticeable fabric bow.

I did want to mention one thing: The bow does get in the way of polish application, it’s fixed to the brush handle and isn’t removable. I found that holding the brush handle with the bow facing away from the nail application was easier, though I found myself being extra careful since I didn’t want to ruin the bow.  I also had a hard time screwing the brush handle to the bottle without ruining my fresh mani.

I am looking forward what else Quidasha comes up with in future releases, the official store launch is set for April 30th, time is TBD.
