Emily de Molly is back for it’s second month participating in the February Sugar Rush Theme for Polish Pickup.

The Polish Pick up is a monthly collection where makers have a theme picked for them create custom polishes to match the theme. Upwards of 30 indie makers participate and create polish and non polish products.

The brand chose candy coated apples as it’s inspiration for this month and did a great job with this one!

SCM is a bright red jelly filled with metallic silver flakes and silver holographic micro glitter. In my bottle the red leans more towards an orange tomato red, not the candy red I saw on the official swatches.

The flakes are absolutely stunning, they peek through the jelly to show a warm orange glow and sparkle. The holographic micro glitters give my camera a hard time focusing.

I stamped a candy swirl on an accent finger and immediately thought of Christmas!

In person this polish looks like you have crushed up rubies and applied them to your nails. It is ridiculously sparkly that it reminded me of the Ruby Slippers on Wizard of Oz.DSC05499

I had a hard time taking this off and couldn’t stop staring at it, note to self (and others) be careful driving with this polish on your nails on a sunny day!!!
