Born Pretty sent me their new Thermal Shimmer Gel polish to test out, the color I received is BP-5746 on their stock. This is a gel polish that needs to be cured under a UV/LED light. UV Gel base and top coats are also needed to use this product. I don’t like to soak my nails in acetone to remove gel polish, so I use UNT peel off base coat and let it dry completely then add the gel polishes.
The color out of the bottle is a periwinkle blue with holographic micro glitters.
This is its cold state.
Application of this polish is thicker than the other gels I’ve used from Born Pretty. I believe that the glitters thickens up the formula, I was able to apply it in 2 thin coats curing each layer for 1 min.
This is the warm state.
The warm color is best described as a silver base and the holo glitter makes it look like glistening ice.
Here is the transition.
The colors compliment each other well, and sparkle even in low light.
Born Pretty has an additional 21 shades, some shades have larger glitter and there are also creme thermals too! Each bottle costs $3.99 for 10ml.
