I belong to the Hella Holo Customs group on Facebook, if you do not yet belong, I strongly recommend it if you are a polish lover. The group has highlighted makers every month where a 6 custom polishes are born from inspiration pictures the group submits and names.
The makers more often than not hit the mark every time. In the month of August I submitted an inspirational picture called “Holy Tree” that I felt a strong connection to, by an artist called Furstset on Instagram, he has a few variations of this tree and they are absolutely breath taking. I lobbied pretty hard for this among group members and it was the 2nd highest voted for image that month.
The maker who brought this inspiration image to live was KB Shimmer who is known for their spectacular work using Holographic polishes. This linear holo is a turquoise blue with bits of copper and gold glitters. This polish shifts even in low light and is completely opaque in 2 coats.
I also used this polish to create a beautiful gradient and it sponged on nice and even. I really didn’t have to manipulate it much.
Here is what I used:
- KB Shimmer – That goes without Cyan
- Vapid – Pegasus Poots
- Enchanted Polish – August 2-16
- Born Pretty White Stamping polish
- Born Pretty Plate BP-L 003
- SuperChic Lacquer Marvel QDTC
I began by sponging on the purple to blue gradient and sealed it with QDTC, then I stamped on the Mermaid Shell image on to my nails, then sealed that with another coat of QDTC.
This mani lasted 6 days with no chips. I absolutely love this color. I’ve added links through out the blog to allow you to find the products I used.

XOXO
